While it's not in Warren County, many Warren County residents shop this area....
WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP -- Kroger and local officials gathered on Wednesday morning to commemorate the initiation of construction on the new Kroger Marketplace that will anchor a new retail shopping center in West Chester Township.
The new Kroger Marketplace will be approximately 123,000 square feet and an on-site relocation of the current store in the West Chester Plaza. It will feature Murray’s Cheese, Starbucks, Kroger Pickup, Pharmacy with drive-thru, a fuel center, kitchenware, apparel and much more in addition to the location’s extensive grocery selection.
Kroger will employ more than 250 additional associates and offer additional leadership opportunities for career advancement at the new location. The total investment in the new store is $35 million.
The retailer first opened a store in the area in 1976 followed by the current location in 1987.
“We have proudly served the West Chester community for more than 40 years and are excited to increase job opportunities and expand access to fresh and affordable food for residents,” said Ann Reed, president of the Cincinnati/Dayton division. “We are grateful for the collaboration with Regency Centers, West Chester and Butler County officials as we bring a new shopping experience to the area.”
“At Regency Centers, we believe meaningful community investment requires a long-term vision and a commitment to doing things the right way,” said Nick Koglin, vice president, market officer for Regency Centers. Projects like this are the result of patience, partnership, and purpose — assembling the right team, aligning with exceptional partners like Kroger, West Chester Township and Butler County and creating a shopping center that serve and enrich West Chester for many years ahead. We’re proud to play a role in building something lasting and impactful for the community.”
In early 2025, the retailer announced plans to invest $130 million throughout the Cincinnati/Dayton division with new and existing store renovations.
