Sycamore Presbyterian to Offer “Click Smart, Stay Safe” Workshop

WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Sycamore Presbyterian Church and its Thrive Together Community Workshops are presenting its next in a series of educational offerings to provide additional resources important to individuals and families in the community.

This latest FREE workshop, Click Smart, Stay Safe, will occur on Thursdays, Oct. 23 – Nov. 13 at 7-8:30 p.m. The classes take place at Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45249.

Attendees will learn how to:

build their own toolbox and gain insights to navigate the online world safely and confidently,
become “online literate,” as defined by knowing how to spot phishing, scams, misinformation, and disinformation, and
gain the critical skills necessary to maintain personal safety (financial, physical, and emotional) in our connected world.

Topics include:

Sadety 101 (10/23),
Elder Scam Prevention (10/30),
Misinformation and Disinformation (11/6) and
Critical Media Literacy (11/13) along with additional information provided by the Ohio Attorney General’s office.

Presenters include Dr. Jeffrey Blevins, University of Cincinnati and Diane Kinsella, MA, ACC.
