The USS Cincinnati Memorial - Peace Pavilion, scheduled to open May 15-17, 2026, has met 86% of its fundraising goal to complete the Memorial construction and develop the STEM Education program content.

"Our major anonymous benefactor has just announced an additional matching contribution of up to $500,000 for all new donations received between now and our Grand Opening in May," noted the museum's building coordinator Bob Viney on his Facebook Post.

"If we can fully meet the matching level with new donations, we will be at 97% of our total fundraising goal," Viney explained in his post.

This Memorial, which is projected to provide between $6 and $27 Million of economic benefit to the region, will be a unique asset for the entire Greater Cincinnati area.

Consider joining the USS Cincinnati Submarine Memorial "crew" by making a first or new donation. Visit www.subcincy.org/donate. Once there, choose where you would like to donate:

  • Construction Fund
  • Endowment Fund
  • STEM Education Fund

From there select the amount you are donating and provide credit card information via our secure site.

As a 501c3 non-profit, all donations are tax-deductible. A donation by December 31, 2025, would provide a tax benefit for 2025 taxes, and a donation after January 1, 2026 will provide a tax benefit for 2026.

"Donations of any size are needed and will be recorded on a special Donor page to be added to our website by the Grand Opening," Viney said.
