Mathews Sworn in to Serve Ohio’s 56th House District

COLUMBUS, OH -- State Representative Adam Mathews (R-Lebanon) took the oath of office Monday for his second term as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 56th House District, which encompasses southwest and central Warren County including the areas of Lebanon, Turtlecreek Township, Deerfield Township, South Lebanon, and Mason.

“I am truly honored to advocate for our conservative Warren County values in the Statehouse,” said Mathews. “I look forward to getting to work on legislation to make Ohio a better place to live, work and raise a family.”

During the 135th General Assembly, Mathews passed 12 bills and key initiatives into law including a $2 billion income tax cut passed in the budget, NIL for student athletes, and a financial transparency measure for incoming college students. He furthermore secured $50 million through the Capital and Operating Budgets to keep the Cincinnati Open Tennis Tournament in Mason. He additionally served as the Chairman of the House Public Health Policy Committee and House Pensions Committee and as Vice Chairman of the House Civil Justice Committee.

“I look forward to building off the successes of the last two years and continuing to deliver meaningful results for the 56th district and all of Ohio.”

Mathews was sworn in during Monday’s session, which marked the beginning of the 136th General Assembly.
