WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Film Cincinnati is proud to announce that Cincinnati has been selected to host the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) Cineposium, a prestigious global event celebrating the organization’s 50th anniversary. This milestone marks the first time in eight years that Cineposium returns to North America—and Cincinnati is honored to serve as the host city.
Taking place from September 15 to September 18, 2025, Cineposium will convene film commissioners, studio executives, and entertainment industry leaders from across the globe for a dynamic week of keynote speakers, expert panels, hands-on training, and meaningful community engagement. Film Cincinnati is thrilled to partner with the AFCI, along with meetKY and the Cincy Region, to curate an inspiring and impactful conference in the Cincinnati region.
After winning the competitive bid in early 2024, Film Cincinnati capitalized on that momentum, placing as one of the top three finalists to host the Sundance Film Festival—further affirming Cincinnati’s emergence as a world-class destination for film and media production.
For the first time in Cineposium’s history, the event will be open to non-members, ensuring Cincinnati has access to the insights and opportunities this event provides.
Programming announcements and ticketing information will be released soon.
