WARREN COUNTY PARK DISTRICT, OH -- Warren County Park District Commissioner Wendy Monroe was appointed back in September of 2021 to fulfill the remainder of the three-year term left vacant by long-term Park Commissioner Fred Bay.

Monroe, who was sworn in as Park Commissioner on September 21, 2021 by Warren County Probate Court Judge Joe Kirby, will be joining the other two park district commissioners: Jeff Blazey and Ben Yoder.

Monroe, co-owner of 22Three, spent two terms on the Lebanon City Council. She did not seek re-election this past November due to the fact she was moving out of the city limits into Turtlecreek Township.

“Serving on the Park Board opens up a whole new chapter in my life and allows me to remain closely involved with the community I love. I look forward to serving not just the residents of Lebanon, but all Warren Countians through my active involvement on the Park Board for many years to come,” she said.

“After a thoughtful and extensive search, we are elated by Judge Kirby’s appointment of Wendy to the Park Board. Besides being extraordinarily well-qualified in her own right as a prominent community member and business owner, we’re proud to have Mrs. Monroe serve as our first female Park Commissioner in our Park District’s over 50-year history,” Board President Blazey noted in a press release from the Warren County Park District.

With an annual operating budget of approximately $2 million, the Warren County Park District owns and operates 19 park properties on over 1,700 acres. For more information on the Park District and opportunities to get involved visit: www.co.warren.oh.us/parks
