WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Melissa Craven, a resident of Mason/Deerfield and teacher at Little Miami Primary School in nearby Maineville, Ohio, has received a Fulbright fellowship for the 2025-2026 cycle from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
Craven is one of 14 Americans to be chosen for the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Research (Fulbright D.A.) honor this year. Recipients will represent the U.S. while conducting education-related research in countries around the world. During her 5-month placement in the UK, Craven will explore innovative practices employed in multilingual classrooms and organizations across the country. She plans to use her findings to develop practical tools for U.S. teachers serving growing ESOL populations and to optimize student intake procedures for local districts.
The Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Research Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by IREX.
