WARREN COUNTY, OH -- For one local senior, cuddling a calf brings back a host of memories. 88-year-old Mary Lou Ullrich grew up on a farm where cows, chickens, horses and pigs were a big part of her life. She and her friends at Liberty Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, got their fluffy cow fix when miniature cows from Boots N’ Mini Moos visited the community located at 7200 Heritagespring Drive, West Chester, OH.

Bill Razor, resident, loved spending time with the mini moos.

“So many of our elders were raised on farms and many are lifelong animal lovers,” said Amy Snow, life engagement director for Liberty Place. “The gentle cows brought comfort, joy and a whole lot of smiles to our residents. Evidence shows that animals do wonders for those with cognitive, impairment, and our seniors enjoy spending time with all animals.”
