Local Scouts Doing A Good Deed

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, OHIO -- The Bethel Lane Cemetery in Washington Township in Wilmington, Ohio had its second annual cleaning from Scouts. The group, which consisted of  Joel Shimp, Scott Shimp an Eagle Scout and Sydney Shimp a Girl Scout Cadette from Clermont County along with Blanchester Troop 4265's Addie Reed, Dallas Benningfield, Leddy Funk, and Blanchester Troop 45988's Josie Fruediger. cleaned over 20 headstones. Girl Scout Leader Ida Miller and Girl Scout Western Ohio Staff Amanda Moore and Washington Township Trustees and workers: Chris Horsley, Jon Sharp, Mark Conners, and Rachel Starns assisted the Scouts in the work.

The neighbors Sandy and Allen Fuller were so thrilled to see the work that they treated the group to pizza, drinks, homemade chocolate chip cookies and wonderful hospitality in their lovely home afterwards.
