AMERICA’S 250TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION The Writing of the Declaration of Independence Historical Speaker : Doug Roush Saturday April 25 at 1:00pm. The Harding Museum, 302 Park Ave, Franklin, Ohio celebration of America’s 250th Birthday, the Franklin Area Historical Society will be hosting Doug Roush, speaking about the writing of the Declaration of Independence. The presentation will include the history of the document, the authors, and even delve into the penmanship of the document. Historical secrets behind our country's most famous document will be revealed. DOUG ROUSH of Indianapolis, Indiana has a MASTERS degree in education and specializes in art, history and historic penmanship. Doug has been a presenter at Colonial Williamsburg, St. George Tucker House, Adams County Historical Museum in Gettysburg Pa, and Fort Ligonier Pennsylvania. Doug has received acknowledgments from the Sons of the American Revolution, Steven Taylor Award for Youth and Education, The Daughters of the American Revolution 250th Commendation and The Sons of American Revolution Youth Education Award that is Indiana's highest award for historical presentation.
