MAINEVILLE, OH -- With the crowning of 2025 champion Charley Hull at the recent Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G in September at TPC River's Bend Golf and Country Club, tournament officials announced today that the 2026 Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G will move to Maketewah Country Club nestled in the heart of Cincinnati. The tournament is also moving to take place in spring rather than fall. It will take place May 11-17, 2026.
“The Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G has quickly built a reputation as one of the more popular events on the LPGA Tour, continuing the long and cherished history of professional golf in the greater Cincinnati region,” said Michael Taft, executive director of the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. “We thank TPC River’s Bend for hosting a tremendous event in 2025, and we look forward to working with the team at Maketewah Country Club to take the tournament to new heights beginning in spring, 2026.”
“The Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G has continually hosted some of the best fields on Tour,” said Ricki Lasky, Chief Tour Business and Operations Officer. “We are excited to continue to showcase our world-class athletes to the Cincinnati area. We want to thank TPC River’s Bend for their hospitality and are looking forward to the warm welcome Maketewah Country Club will offer in 2026.”
A Donald Ross designed course that made its debut in 1929 and recently completed an award-winning renovation led by renowned architect Brian Silva in 2023, Maketewah Country Club is known as one of the longest-standing U.S. Open qualifying courses. In 2025 Maketewah hosted the Western Golf Association’s Women’s Western Junior Championship, where Vidhi Lakhawala earned a sponsor invitation to the 2025 Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G and competed in her first LPGA Tour event.
“Maketewah Country Club is honored to host the LPGA Tour and the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G beginning in 2026 during a prime location on the golf and sports calendar in mid-May,” said Sarah Sparks Herron, Past President, Maketewah Country Club. “Women’s professional golf has a long history in Cincinnati, and we look forward to helping to write the next chapter and elevating women’s golf in Cincinnati at Maketewah Country Club.”
