WARREN COUNTY, OH -- One of the advantages of living in Warren County, Ohio is that we live between two major cities, Dayton and Cincinnati. So, when Dayton's Carillon Park announced that Dayton native Gary Sandy, who is best known as Andy Travis on the classic TV Series WKRP in Cincinnati, appears as a co-star in its award winning film A Very Carillon Christmas, WarrenCountyPost.com readers maybe interested in watching it.
The 35-minute holiday special, which won an Ohio Valley Emmy® Award earlier this year, co-stars Sandy and Carillon Historical Park President & CEO Brady Kress. Conceived by Kress and produced and directed by Michael Webber, CEO of MainSail Productions, A Very Carillon Christmas is a fast-paced holiday adventure that begins with a chance encounter between him and Sandy. The meeting launches a whirlwind mission to save Christmas, all while highlighting Dayton’s rich legacy of innovation.
In addition to its leading actors, the special stars Dayton’s landmark innovations and cultural touchstones — among them the airplane, cash register, automobile starter motor, Cheez-It, the first NFL game, and of course, Sandy — who has also starred on Broadway, in soap operas, and numerous TV shows and shines as one of the city’s great talents.
A Very Carillon Christmas airs tonight — Tuesday, November 25, at 7:30 on Channel 7. If you miss Tuesday evening's showing, you will be able to catch it again on air on MeTV on Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 29 at 5 p.m.
